In order to configure Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express for management of your Vazoom hosted email, you will need to provide information at some stages of the setup process.
Additionally, if you wish to configure Internet capable mobile phones including the iPhone and Blackberry devices, you will be required to have this information at hand before the configuration of your email will be complete.
During the configuration of both Outlook clients and mobile device email applications, there may be an option to use either POP or IMAP protocols.
POP is suggested for Outlook or Outlook Express clients whereas IMAP is suggested if you are going to use your iPhone, Blackberry, or other mobile Internet device.
If you are configuring a mobile Internet phone device such as Apple's iPhone or RIM Blackberry, the suggested protocol to use is IMAP. IMAP offers two-way communication between your Vazoom hosted email and your mobile device. IMAP provides a better method to access your mail from multiple devices. If you check your email at work, on your mobile phone, and again at home, IMAP ensures that new mail is accessible from any device at any given time. IMAP allows this through its two-way syncing capabilities between your mail clients and your Vazoom mail.
At some point during the setup process the following information may be requested.
